On 3 October Germany celebrates the Day of German Unity. On 7 October the Joint Force Training Centre’s (JFTC) German contingent held a military ceremony to recognize the day.
The Day of German Unity commemorates events of 3 October 1990, when the Federal Republic of Germany and the Democratic Republic of Germany reunited to create one federal German state.
“It is a pleasure to commemorate with you the 29th anniversary of the German unification. (…) In Poland, we consider the Day of German Unity also as an important date for our own history. It started the new chapter in Polish-German relations”– said Major General Adam Joks, JFTC Commander, addressing German personnel serving at JFTC and the whole Centre’s staff who gathered to observe the military ceremony.
Congratulations to all German citizens!
