More than 400 specialists representing 26 allied and partner nations as well as various NATO agencies gathered in Bydgoszcz to complete preparations for the execution of this year’s Coalition Warrior Interoperability eXploration, eXperimentation, eXamination eXcerscise (CWIX). The Final Coordination Conference started on 21 March.
Last year’s experiences with focus on Major Joint Operations (+) and Land Component Command’s (LCC) role were main topics of discussions held during the Graduated Readiness Force (Land) Lessons Learned Working Group (GRF3LWG) meeting. The event took place between 28 February and 2 March. For the first time the Group gathered at the Joint Force Training Centre (JFTC).
More than 200 future advisors and staff members of the allied mission in Afghanistan are ready to deploy. They have just completed the first 2017 Resolute Support training conducted by the Joint Force Training Centre in Bydgoszcz. The closing ceremony was held on 2 February.
The Joint Force Training Centre’s (JFTC) expansion, future development of training capacities and pre-deployment preparation for the Resolute Support mission were main topics of discussions between Air Marshal Sir Graham Stacey, the Allied Command Transformation (ACT) Chief of Staff (COS) and JFTC leadership. The ACT COS visited the Centre on 1 February.
The Joint Force Training Centre (JFTC) has just started its first 2017 training event. On 24 January, Major General Wilhelm Grün, the Centre’s Commander, welcomed more than 400 soldiers and civilian experts. They arrived in Bydgoszcz to participate in another training for future members of Resolute Support (RS) mission in Afghanistan.
Continuation of the Resolute Support training program and increasing involvement in exercises for multinational Corps will mark the next twelve months at the Joint Force Training Centre (JFTC). Major General Wilhelm Grün, the JFTC Commander, presented the Centre’s plans for 2017 during the annual New Year’s Reception. The event took place on 12 January and gathered close to 80 JFTC partners and friends.
1 German/ Netherlands Corps (1GNC), based in Münster, Germany, is taking its final preparation before the certification exercise for the Joint Task Force Headquarters Land’s (JTF HQ (L)) role. Exercise Ultimate Sword 2016 has just started at the Joint Force Training Centre (JFTC). The event was opened by Brigadier General Ladislav Jung, the Bydgoszcz NATO training centre’s Deputy Commander, on 11 December.
The Joint Force Training Centre’s (JFTC) capabilities and development of Centre’s cooperation with the Allied Land Command (LC) Izmir were main topics of discussions between Commanders of these two headquarters held in Bydgoszcz. Major General Wilhelm Grün presented JFTC training capacities to Lieutenant General Darryl A. Williams, the LC Izmir Commander, on 28 November.
Rapid Reaction Corps-France (RRC-FR) has launched Citadel Bonus Exercise 2016 as another phase in their certification process before assuming the NATO Force Structure Joint Task Force Headquarters role in 2017. The part of the event held at the Joint Force Training Centre (JFTC) was inaugurated on 21 November by Major General Wilhem Grün, the Centre’s Commander, and Major General Gert-Johannes Hagemann, the Deputy Commander of the RRC-FR.
